Negative Flower

This artwork is a captivating exploration of layered techniques using watercolor and charcoal. The first layer features a wash of purple that envelops the entire sheet, setting a vibrant foundation for the subsequent designs. In the second layer, the artist utilized negative space to outline a floral design, skillfully leaving the flower shape intact amidst the rich background. Additionally, salt was applied to create unique textures and effects within the watercolor, enhancing the visual interest of the piece.
